About the past and the Hobby...
I was started in the early 70's at the age of 18 years as Audio/Video technician. In 1974
I became a certified radio amateur and a few years later worked as a transmitter technician on board the radio ship "Mi-Amigo", which had a Harris BC-10H 10 KW medium wave transmitter on board at 1098 KHz. Until the early 1980s, we broadcast from international waters off the coast of the Netherlands.
Many Years later..........
Before the war in Ukraine started, I was working on the installation of a Nautel 100 KW medium wave transmitter, in the south of Ukraine, to cover the "Crimea" where many Russians were present, the intention was to broadcast Ukrainian and Western democracy.
Unfortunately... Unfortunately, the war was approaching.... A mindless KGB fool named PUTIN..."PUTLER" started the war against Ukraine, an independent democratic state...Everything was bombed flat. I'll have a look there again when everything is safe.
Other hobby... Restoration of old TV / radio sets from the beginning of the black and white TV in the early 50s. The price of e.g. the Philips TX 100 A from 1953 was then Hfl. 1394 (Gulden) which is now equal to more than 3400 Euro, this device was certainly not for sale to the ordinary worker.
The condition / emission of the picture tubes is astonishing after all these years... Still perfect !!
And still... I've got all the inside Tubes New on stock...
